Happy 8th Birthday Afsana

Hello Miss Afsana. You are becoming such a big girl. When I sit back and look at you I just think what a little lady you are becoming. You don't seem like a little girl anymore. You are so responsible most of the time and such a good Didi to all your siblings. I know Benaiah loves you so much. You are always wanting to hold him and play with him. Sometimes he gets tired of you holding him and will pull your hair or hit you. You just smile and give him a big kiss.

You had a great year at school and it was really fun watching how much you improved with basketball in your first year. You are very unselfish when you play sports and are a great teammate. You also have gotten a ton better on your swim team. You are scared sometimes to do a new activity but then you give it your all after you start. You usually end up loving whatever you are doing.

You got a new bike this year with shifters and you love to ride. It's really fun to take you and Kiran on bike rides together now. You are a great little athlete and I love that you love the outdoors so much. I would spend all day in the summer playing outside, biking, running in the woods, or anything else outside. You are the same way.

I also love how you care for others and are always so generous with your money and wanting to help people. You continue to be very kind to kids at your school. And you really notice when kids are being left out or picked on by others and you try to be their friend. You are a wonderful daughter and I'm so glad God gave you to us. Happy birthday and I love you my big girl Afsana!!

Love,

Daddy.

Happy 3rd to My ISHA

Isha you are such a little shatanu sometimes. You really like to give mommy and dad a hard time these days. Mommy keeps telling me that I have spoiled you to much! But you are my last baby girl and I don't think I am spoiling you.

I love your spunky personality and how when you are mad you tell me that you are mad at me. You know when you are tired and you just go to your bed and take a nap. It's great that you know what you need at such a young age and are able to take care of yourself in that way.

You learned to ride your pedal bike this summer! You learned so quickly and are amazing at biking! Even when you crash and get bruises and cut your arms or legs you cry for a minute and then get up and keep going. I love how you just give it 100% and have such a high pain tolerance. You are so brave. Nothing keeps you down and you just go all out all the time.

I love hearing you talk in spanish too. You are a great daughter and so much fun to be with. Every morning you come down you say, "Good morning Daddy or Good morning Mommy". It's so cute to hear you say that and see your big curls in your hair. I love you tons Isha and I'm excited for you to go to Highlawn with Kiran Didi this fall.

Love,

Daddy,

Happy 5th Kiran

My Dear Kiran,

Sorry for the late post but wanted to say a few things about your 5th birthday. You are such a joy to have in our family. I really appreciate how you are so willing to serve and help out with chores around the home. You are great and loading and unloading the dishwasher and doing the mopping in the kitchen.

You also are always trying to keep up with your Didi Afsana. You are very competitive and don't like to lose. It's been so fun to see you learning to play the violin and piano. You have a great ear for music and pick up on it quickly. I enjoy listening to you play. You also have loved to play bocce ball with me this summer. You are REALLY good at it too. You have beat me several times and I'm trying hard to win :)

I also have loved teaching you at church in your class. You are a great student and always remember the memory verse and answer the questions very well. I love you tons. Can't wait to see you grow up and finish you last year at Highlawn. You're a great Didi to Isha and Benaiah.

Love,

Daddy

Happy 8th Afsana!

My Dearest Afsana,

Happy happy birthday!  I can’t believe you are a young lady of 8 years old!!  You are so beautiful!  Not only do I love your thick curly short hair, your freckly face, your sparkly eyes and your contagious smile but I lovvvvveeeee your heart.  Just today I gave you a dollar for teaching Kiran to play the piano this month.  She had just fought with you.  But you took the dollar and then came right back and gave it to Kiran and told her that she gets to keep this month’s and the next 4 month's dollars because if she had not been willing to learn you would not be getting paid.  You also wanted to bring your swim team donut and your lunch treats home for them.  You are so considerate, generous, and loving!!  You always look out for your sisters and brother.  You ask really good questions and really want to know people...keep that up!

This year we celebrated your birthday with Papa, Nani, and Benaiah.  Your teacher Miss Bachman came too.

I pray you will seek Jesus this year and understand His love for you and that you will walk in His ways and feel the beautiful warmth of a His love on your face always...in the good times and bad.

Love you so much my Sanu!
